DVD Tuesday - Spaceballs:

http://geekykewl.com [GeekyKewl.com - A blog about all things cool yet geeky] This shameless yet hilarious parody of the Star Wars films is this week’s DVD Tuesday pick, and features a number of extras including an audio commentary by Brooks and a couple of mini documentaries.

Some slightly related:

[The Blue-Gray Sky] Sweet Sassy Molassey: Still, you can sense that this braggadacio is an essential part of his makeup; he's a Parcells-schooled perfectionist chomping at the bit to prove to Rutgers (and everyone else who passed on him) that they really made a colossal mistake. That chip on the shoulder, combined with the indignity of a moribund ND football program -- and the slings and arrows of detractors gleefully writing off the Irish -- may have created a “perfect storm” of sorts: a coach on a mission, hellbent on success and redemption, and willing to work himself to halfway to the grave to make it happen.

[Solemnibus II] Mistress Helen: She’s been challenged over her actions in reading two secret Cabinet reports to the Sunday Star-Times. Others would call that leaking - but on Tuesday, she said “By definition, I cannot leak”. And later, bluntly, “It’s a matter for my judgment how I use reports I recieve.”

[The Idle Thoughts of an Idle Person...Archives Feb 2003-July 2003] March Posts March 1 On Hospitality In lie...: I also find it interesting how some vices are tolerated and others are not. Alcohol is responsible for a great deal of societal distress, but I don’t seem to see a lot of anti-booze legislation—in fact, laws have become more lax as time has gone on. As for giving the Canadian Tax-Payer’s purse a good shake, let’s have a look at court costs incurred in the prosecution of drunk drivers, or the hospital costs for long-time soakers who need treatment for hepatic cirrhosis or renal failure if you wanna break your heart. Also, I’ve yet to see an episode of “Cops” where a cheesecake-crazed woman is cowering naked in the corner of a convenience store, or where some trashy guy wearing a wife-beater decided to fire a gun into a neighbour’s yard because he had too many smokes.

[Something to Sing About] Playing Favorites: Got this from D'Bird. I'm actually doing this to relax my achy breaky brain. Tuesday is Monday... song : Cactus 6. Favorite TV Theme Song: Buffy theme by Nerf Herder, and the Star Trek: Voyager..., right? 29. Favorite Garth Brooks song: Ain't Goin' Down (til the sun comes up) ... heh 30. Favorite

[Incoherent Ramblings] Eco-X Race Report by the Average Joes Part 2: This involve the participant to clip themselves onto safety lines, and walk across some pinnacles of the mountain. Sharp rocks, big gap with views of the jungle below and shaky hands working on those carabiners. Adrenalin rushed through every nerves and muscles. I got stung by bees 3 times..and yet, I do not feel the pain, nor those cuts and gash on the shins and calf or fingers felt anymore painful that it should be.
